Max can go back home on Thursday
Two and a half days after the operation in the hospital of Monza, Max could get out of bed for the first time. Max will be discharged from the hospital tomorrow morning. He will directly go back home in his own camper.
Max will be received by Dr. Manfred Kupfer and probably he has to stay in clinical treatment for a few days. There will be an exact forecast when Max will be fit again not until further checkups in Chemnitz. The biggest problem will be the fractures in the right foot which were fixed by wires. After the first appraisal of the X-ray pictures by Dr. Manfred Kupfer, the interventions have succeeded to 100% positively. The thigh is stabilised by a pin. There is no surgical intervention made in the double fibula break. These fractures should adhere on their own.
Max: " I'm a little bit better every day. I'm looking forward to go home tomorrow, even if everybody tries hard here in Monza. The doctors have made a real good job. Today I have watched the video of the crash for the first time and I was shocked. I had blessing in disguise, it could have been a lot worse. However, the most important thing for me is to know that my whole team and my fans stand behind me. Every Alstare-Team member has visited me on Monday and Tuesday in the hospital before they went to South Africa. Also my sportive rivals show big sympathy and interest. Thanks to all my fans and friends, particularly for the many entries on my homepage and messages on my mobile phone. I will affect and fight for points as soon as my state of health admits!"

Dear Max, I was there in Monza and I've seen your crash and I was very troubled. I'm very happy to know that you are better and, even if I'm a Ducati fan, I hope to see you very very soon in the first position of SBK races!
Best wishes!
